Update to LPS families

WEDNESDAY 28th JULY 2021

This morning the Premier announced that Campbelltown, Georges River and Parramatta local government areas (LGAs) have had a high level of community transmission of COVID-19 and greater restrictions would be introduced from midnight 28 July.

As our school is located in an identified LGA we want to remind you to keep your children at home unless you are an essential worker and your children cannot be educated at home. Our school will continue to be open but with an absolute minimum number of staff for supervision.

If you are working from home, your child is able to learn from home and should stay at home as directed by the NSW Health Public Health Order.
All students and families will be supported with learning from home materials and resources.
I want to thank all the families who have continued to support our community by keeping their children at home to minimise movement in the community. Please get in touch with your child’s teacher to discuss any additional needs for your child or family to support you to continue learning from home.
Thank you for your ongoing support.

nurturing our students

Lugarno Public School is large enough to provide a myriad of opportunities while being small enough to ensure we know each individual student.

Lugarno enjoys a remarkable culture of achievement and this is reflected in our excellent results. We are proud of the fact that our students achieve highly in university-based tests and often exceed regional averages in nationwide testing.

We ensure a safe and happy learning environment through our proactive approach to student welfare.

opportunity for all

While the teaching of literacy and numeracy is the cornerstone of learning for our students, Lugarno Public School provides a broad, comprehensive education.

Through its diverse curriculum, Lugarno Public School contributes significantly to the development of skills in areas we regard as crucial to the all-round education of our students. These areas include: sport, creative and performing arts, student leadership, social interaction and technology.

We ensure a safe and happy learning environment through our proactive approach to student welfare.
